Hostwinds 是支持上传自定义 ISO 镜像的，也就是可以安装自己的 VPS 操作系统。当然，一般我们不建议这么做，因为可能会存在稳定性等方面的问题。不过既然这个功能摆在这里，我们还是可以看看是怎么使用的。本文介绍一下 Hostwinds 后台上传自定义 ISO 镜像的方法，看完之后，你也可以上传自己的镜像文件。

Hostwinds 上传自定义镜像文件

首先进入 Hostwinds 后台，点击 STORAGE -> ISO’s，如图所示，就可以看到上传 ISO 的地方。

点击上面的 Create Volume，会弹出一个 Upload ISO 的窗口，我们输入描述和 ISO 的链接地址即可。

You can upload your own Linux-based ISO and create a server using the ISO of your choice. Hostwinds provides you with many ISOs with which you can deploy or re-install your server, including several versions of Linux as well as troubleshooting ISOs. Hostwinds 上传镜像错误

老唐自己测试了一下上传镜像（镜像文件），出现了下面两种错误：

Add Iso Failed
ISO Ubuntu error creating! Failed to create image in Seattle
Unable to complete request

或者是：

Add Iso Failed
ISO Ubuntu error creating! The server has either erred or is incapable of performing the requested operation.

这两种错误基本随机出现，不过最后都没能成功。目前也不知道是镜像的问题还是这个功能有问题，因为暂时用不到这个功能，就没继续往下测试。
